Frequently asked questions-Software

I have my own logo, business card, and layout. My software is:

Illustrator
Please convert all fonts/text to outlines, and save your file as .eps (encapsulated postscript)

**Special Note** Photoshop is for photos and creating text or logos with special effects.
For best results, create logos and arrange text in a different software, such as CorelDraw, Paint, etc.
Please keep your file in layers. Text with special effects in one layer, logo in another
layer. Background in a separate layer. Reduce to 200 dpi. "Save as" psd.

CorelDraw
Convert all text to outlines (curves), save as .ai,

QuarkXpress
Convert text to outlines, here's how:
Highlight one line of text at a time. Go to edit/text to box. This will
turn the text to a Quark picture box which will let you import graphics
into it or just fill it with a color in Quark. Good way to get out of Font
to Imager problems. But you can only do one line of text at a time, so it
takes time. Hold down your command/option/shift when you hit text to box
and it will place the box directly over the text and delete the text also.
Save file as .eps, attach your file to an email and send

MSWord, or any of the MSOffice package Save your file as MS Word 2003, Attach to an email, list the fonts you used in the file, and send.

MSPublisher
Save as .pub, 2003 version, attach your file to an email and send.

But first,
please view our Faqs for Graphics
to verify that your file is in the correct format
